At Belong & Beloved Inc. our mission is to ensure humans overcoming poverty have access to support, services, and housing needed to advance up Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Pyramid.

We do this by upholding space for humans overcoming poverty, ensuring they belong and they are loved.

*Upholding space - we are willing to walk alongside another person in whatever journey they’re on without judging them, offering our support.

*Belong - being in a place where you are being seen, being heard, being valued and being safe.

*Beloved - greatly loved, highly esteemed, or dear to the heart.

What is Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Pyramid?

At Belong & Beloved Inc. we collaborate with clients to create a care plan advancing up Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Pyramid. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a theory by Abraham Maslow that describes human motivation based off of humans basic needs in order to survive and progress. This five tier pyramid model consists of Physiological needs, Safety needs, Love and Belonging needs, Esteem needs and Self-Actualization.

1) Physiological needs are basic survival needs such as food, water, clean air, shelter and sleep.

2) Safety needs are personal security, employment, resources, health and property.

3) Love and Belonging needs are emotional connections and belonging such as friendship, family, mentors, etc.

4) Esteem needs are respect, sense of status, recognition, strength, freedom

5) Self-Actualization is the final step after all other needs are being met. This is the desire to become the most that one can be.

In order to assist our clients in meeting these goals we schedule weekly meetings to collaborate and engage with self made steps, assist in connecting them with resources and education opportunities, and network with community and individuals to ensure that progress is being made on the path to self sufficiency. We are trauma informed, person centered advocates who believe that everybody has the right to belong and be loved.
